The homecoming dance will be Saturday, Oct. 10. Students can purchase tickets during lunch for $20, but cannot purchase tickets the day of the dance.

The week of Oct. 5-9 is homecoming week, and begins Monday. KHS will be having a lot of fun activities for students to attend. On Monday,(Fair Day) the parade will start at 6:30 p.m. at Nash intermediate school. If students want to participate in the parade, they can get a form from any teacher and turn into cheer sponsor Landy Hetmer.

Pride is alive and spirits are high. KHS is kicking off the year with a series of homecoming events, from pep- rallies to parades. Although every week at KHS, especially during football season, seems to consist of some sort of celebration, homecoming week is the most anticipated.

As the band plays loudly the cheerleaders and students are cheering on the football players as they walk into the gym. Once the cheering stops, the performers go on. Cheerleaders fly in the air, giving it all they have while band performers play as loud as they can.

The KHS DWI re-enactment drill was held on March 20th and consisted of a drill for the students going to prom and showing everyone a general purpose to not drink and drive. The re-enactment was just a drill, but seemed very realistic. The goal of the drill was to show what could happen when someone’s not careful. Chief Debi Nixon, put on the drill so those going to prom would stay safe.
