“Under Construction” is the theme of the 2016 KHS yearbook. It not only goes with the whole construction going on at the school, but with young people in general in a process of growing up and changing. The books are now on sale and the staff believes this year’s book will sell out.

The yearbook right now is under a time crunch as students finish senior ads and working on spring sports. Their ultimate goal is to have the yearbook almost complete by the first week of May and finish any last spring sports playoffs and graduation. The yearbook staff is really trying to give this year’s yearbook a fresh look, advisor Sean Chaffin said.

“The yearbook will have more action photos, graphics, stories,  and more consistent fonts,” he said. “The students have done a great job so far and have put together an awesome yearbook.”

There are many previews in the library windows for students to check out. The yearbook staff’s goal is to make a yearbook that shows and tells the story of an entire school year.

“The yearbook class is fun because you get to make cool pages that stand out  for people to know a lot of different school groups and what they do,” yearbook staff member Brittany Hatcher says. “Yearbook is a different skill learning class that teaches you about design, technology, photo skills, and reporting.`

The yearbook class recently went on a field trip to designer workshops there the students learned about sections and  focus on action photos, names, scores, and season stories. Each section tells the story of about the theme of the page.
The yearbook team encourages students to go ahead and order as soon as possible. The yearbooks are $60 and ordered from paid to Chaffin in room A5 or online at- www.KaufmanYearbook.com.
