The Lions Ground Coffee Shop is hopping during second period. As students volunteers are blending the coffee about 10 people standing in line waiting for their daily dose of coffee.The students love taking the orders of anxious customers. as the worker are taking orders on the cup,there is more workers in the back mixing the coffee together for the students that order one.

The KHS culinary arts program and FCCLA (Family,Career,Community Leaders of America)  have started Lions Ground, the new name of  KHS own coffee shop and bistro. culinary arts chef Jennifer Gorell and family and consumer science teacher Christy Lucas have rejuvenated FCCLA program.

“I like the coffee shop because it raises money for FCCLA” freshman Natalie Bennett said.

Lions Ground is open everyday and every class period. Located in room A7, varieties of frappes, iced coffees, lattes and even lemonade for sale.

The shop uses Community brand of coffee.

Students have the privilege to purchase these beverages during the day. The shop as a  very limited menu, but as time goes by, the offerings will be expand.
