These are completely random facts that many people find interesting.  Most of these facts have very little educational value, but are cool to know. These will  always be entertaining tidbits of info.

  1. Did you know that … if you yelled for eight years, seven months and six days, you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee?
  2. Did you know that … one of the trickiest tongue twister in the English language is apparently “Sixth sick sheik’s sixth sheep’s sick”?
  3. Did you know that … bullet proof vests, fire escapes, windshield wipers, and laser printers were all invented by women?
  4. Did you know that … pearls melt in vinegar?
  5. Did you know that … wisdom teeth are called wisdom teeth because they emerge into the mouth when people are in their late teens or early twenties, sarcastically termed the “Age of Wisdom.” Wisdom teeth are technically referred to as third molars, and they’re just like all the other teeth in your mouth.?
  6. Did you know that … the Ferris Wheel is considered an engineering wonder? The Ferris Wheel was designed by George W. Ferris in 1893. It was designed to be the landmark of the World’s Fair in Chicago in 1893. The wheel is supported by two 140-foot steel towers. The towers are connected by a 45-foot axle, making the axle the largest single piece of forged steel made at that time!
