The junior varsity football team won 33-21 last week against the Terrell Tigers bringing their district record to 4-1.

Quarterback  La’Damian Bailey and Kevon Butler scored two touchdowns each. Derrick Runnels also had one touchdown. Tanner Counts and Jonathan Davidson had several key blocks.

On defense, Jordan Crowsey had a nice interception.

The team scored another win against Denton Braswell 35-13 on Sept. 21. Bailey threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to John Maldonado.  Yael Sandoval added a 36 yard field goal.

On defense, Butler also scored two defensive touchdowns by interception and a fumble recovery.

Daniel Trejo was the most outstanding player of the game, according to coach Kent Smith. The Lions travel to Crandall on Thursday to battle the Lions.
