The homecoming parade comes around every year, and will be held Monday night.

The floats will have to be at Nash Intermediate School parking lot at 6 p.m. and it starts at 6:30. The parade will be followed by a pep rally at Lions Stadium.

The parade will start at the Nash parking lot off of Houston Street.  It takes about an hour for everyone to set up and an hour to finish it.

To prepare for the parade, organizers must start right away beginning in August and finish in October to get the city to approve permits.  They don’t allow students drivers because of safety reasons so get volunteers and parents to drive instead of student drivers.

Parade floats will include football, cross country, Phillips Elementary , O.P. Norman Jr.High, Monday Primary, Nash Intermediate, and more. Also featured are the four homecoming queen nominees and two duchesses for the junior, sophomore, and freshman classes.
