PINK OUT WEEK: Fundraising week set for Oct. 17-21

This year Pink Out week at KHS will be Oct. 17-21. Staff and students will be selling numerous items in order to raise money for breast cancer.

Available Items include  Pink Out shirts, pink chains, pink necklaces, and popcorn and pretzels. One big event is the KHS will be hosting a faculty volleyball game that is sure to raise a lot of money.

During lunches The  LEO Club will collect money for the Pie in the Face Contest that will be held during the pep rally on Friday.

Spanish teacher Lupita Montez and English teacher Amanda Jouett are the lead freshmen sponsors.  KHS has a team of other freshmen sponsors who are helping them to make this week a success.

KHS’s goal is to raise $10,000, with all funds donated to the American Cancer Society.

Sophomore Jasmine Sellers is excited for Pink Out week

“I can’t wait to support and help people with breast cancer,” she says.
