Kaufman’s new high school will be a big upgrade with new classes, library, and gyms. Here are some of the big changes that will be made to the school.

The new KHS will have a new library, classroom, and new rooms for extra-curricular activities, said Principal Amy Keith. The new classes will allow all different types of opportunities. For example, the Health Science Classroom will have medical beds so students can learn to give IVs to people to get a degree as a nurse assistant at a hospital.

There will be auditorium that can fit all of the high school population in it and still have room. It can be used for concerts, plays, and maybe graduation. Behind the stage will be doors to connect to the band hall, and the band hall will be bigger than the current one.

For athletics the new gym will have seats that can hold all of the student population for pep rallies, and it will have a new scoreboard (that people at all sides of it can see). The football field will get a new press box to watch and record games. Everywhere in the high school will be indoors, so students won’t have to walk outside to go to lunch, and won’t get rained on.
